Part 4: Love Honors

Life is often hard and unfair. Our almost constant temptation is to get even, to talk about others behind their back because they did that to us, to make fun of those who are different. But Jesus called us to a counter-cultural lifestyle – to love! And 1 Corinthians 13 tells us that to unleash love means love honors others and isn’t selfish. This may not sound very fair when others are mistreating us, but disciples of Jesus are called to a higher, and better standard, as we’ll see today!
